Cyprus Villa Holidays: why choose Cyprus?

Cyprus villas for rent

The island of Cyprus is a truly magical place, warming the hearts of the many people who holiday there each year. It boasts golden sandy beaches, clear blue Mediterranean waters, as well as a superb climate with over 300 days of sunshine a year, making it the sunniest country in the European Union. Its people are famous for their warm disposition and their kindness and hospitality to strangers. It is no wonder therefore that Cyprus has become a much sought after year-round holiday destination.

The majority of the people on the island (82%) are Greek Cypriots, with roots that can be traced back to antiquity. Dotted around the island are many archaeological treasures to explore ranging from prehistoric settlements, ancient Greek and Roman temples, as well as ancient and medieval Greek Orthodox churches and monasteries. In addition many foreign cultures have visited Cyprus over the centuries, each leaving their mark on this island's rich architectural heritage.

Paphos, and the Coral Bay area

The coastal city of Paphos is considered by many to be the 'jewel in the crown' of Cyprus. This ancient city, which in antiquity was the island's capital, is the mythical birthplace of Aphrodite the Greek goddess of love and beauty. There are many ancient sites and monuments to visit in Paphos, infact the city itself is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Coral Bay, which lies north of Paphos town, is one of the most popular tourist destinations in Paphos. Its main attraction is its golden sandy beach which stretches within an enclosed bay, and is considered one of the best in the whole of Cyprus. A large resort has been built up around the bay, with watersports, hotels, clubs, restaurants and shops.

The wider Coral Bay area, including the Sea Caves area where our villas are located, is one of the most sought after property locations on the island. Whilst remaining within easy reach of local shops and amenities, this peaceful area is only sparsely populated with villas and other low level buildings. This, along with the presence of nearby banana plantations and citrus groves, helps to give the area a tranquil, semi-rural feel. Our villas are uniquely situated, with views of both the sea to the front, and mountains to the rear. (Click here to view the location of our villas on a map).
